For Cameron and Aimerance their story started back in middle school. Cameron was known as the kid who always had gum, and one day she happened to need some. What started as a small interaction grew into a friendship that would eventually become the foundation for a beautiful relationship.
When asked what makes their relationship special, their answer wasn't about a single moment. It was about consistency. Through life's challenges and changing seasons, they've remained committed to each other, their priorities, and the future they're building together. That steady foundation is something you can feel whenever they're together.
Their proposal was equally meaningful. Surrounded by family and friends at Aimerance's family home, Cameron completely surprised her. There were tears, laughter, and one unforgettable detail that made the moment even more special—he included their son in the proposal. It was a celebration not just of a future marriage, but of the family they've already built together.
For their engagement session, we met at The Dallas Scottish Rite Cathedral. The grand columns, timeless architecture, and elegant atmosphere created the perfect backdrop for a couple whose story feels both classic and enduring. The black-and-white portraits especially highlighted the connection between them, allowing their relationship to take center stage against the historic setting.
As they prepare for their wedding day, one of the things they're most excited about is sharing Congolese wedding traditions with family and friends. Their celebration will be an opportunity to bring together cultures, stories, music, and food—creating an experience that reflects who they are and the life they're building together.
When asked what Aimerance admires most about Cameron, her answer came easily: his generosity, patience, kindness, protection, and the sacrifices he makes for those he loves. And when asked what she hopes never changes, she shared something that perfectly sums up their story: the childhood friendship that continues to grow into every part of their life together.
